So I've decided that I'm going to start blogging back on here again. It's just so hard to blog about personal things on myspace without it getting to people that I hardly know. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. And plus, I miss this place. I still check everyone's blog and I'm needing to get back into the mix of things. So anyways, this is what's going on now. I'm sick to my stomach about it. BUT, either today or tomorrow is when I'll know whether or not I'll get into nursing school. They sent out the letters yesterday and since this place is super close to me..I'm assuming that I'll get it today. So these thoughts have been racing in and out of my head about the what-ifs. I mean, what if I don't get accepted? I guess it wont be the end of the world..but it's a major set-back that I dread having to go through. I keep telling myself that if I don't get accepted that there has to be a reason...a really good reason. I'm just keeping my faith in God that he's leading me down the path that I'm meant to go down. So everyone just say a little prayer, and I'll update you guys once I find out.
Also, I'm dealing with the stresses of Erik right now. Talk about someone I don't even know anymore...man...it's crazy. On the 25th of this month it will be FOUR months since he's seen Gavin. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. I do have to say that I'm doing better than I thought I would. I guess that just shows how strong I truly am. I'm finding myself enjoying life again and I'm noticing that I'm actually able to look at my son without having to see his father. I'm able to enjoy Gavin...I haven't been able to say that in a long time. It may sound weird...but I went through an emotional shock that kept me from experiening any good emotions..they were all bad..for a really long time. But things are looking up. I've actually lost fourty pounds now and I'm well on my way to being my pre-pregnancy weight. I've got a new haircut which I absolutely adore and I'm feeling really confident with myself. I'm actually finding myself having a crush...and it's super fun. So things are a lot better.....and I think I'm pretty much happy right now. Can you tell I'm smiling when I say that?..lol. However, I terribly miss my friends. I miss everyone together. I realize that Teresa's birthday is coming up and she hasn't even told me if she has anything planned. I miss the birthday dinners with everyone...and now almost everyone is gone *sniff*. I'm so serious, but we're going to need to like start having reunions or something because this is ridiculous.
So I guess that's about it right now. I'm about to get ready to go to school. I have until the first week of May 'til school is over and I'm SO READY. I have been going to school non-stop since last Spring. That's all through Summer and everything so I'm in desperate need of a vacation!! I'm going to enjoy this Summer like crazy. I CANNOT wait.
Well, I hope everyone is doing good. I miss you guys!!

I'm just ready for it to be over!
I'm tired of school. I know it's the same song and dance for me..but it seems that this is a never ending road. You can't even imagine how defeated I feel knowing that the hardest part is still ahead of me..*sigh*. I just need to vent about this. Don't get me wrong this Anatomy II class could be A LOT worse. I mean, the teacher is nice and fun and she gives us reviews! I'm pratically in heaven! But I'm just tired. I should have taken the whole Summer off but decided that taking Anatomy II in one month is MUCH better than taking it in 3 and a half months. So, I'll get over this. The second week is almost over and that means I'll just have three more weeks.
I've also started TOPS last week. That's new news. If you don't know what TOPS is..it's kind of like weight watchers but costs WAY less and you don't by a point system. Well anyways, it's my mom, me, Melanie, and Karen going so i hope we can keep up with it. I'll update you guys on any weight loss.
So anyways, Have a good week!

Can someone please explain all of this rain?!
I just don't get it. How can it be the end of June and we're still getting TONS of rain. Is it global warming? Someone please explain. I'm tired of looking at my pool and not being able to get into it. This truly sucks.

Updating you all.
Ok, I've had questions from some of you about how Gavin and daycare is doing so here's the scoop. Gavin has been going to daycare since last Monday. He still cries every morning and proceeds to tell everyone he sees in the morning that he is not going. I swear it is breaking my heart. It's funny though, when I go to pick him up he's in a really good mood and his teacher says that he's starting to warm up a little. The first day was the hardest though. Yep, tears were shed from him and me too! But I think this is a good thing for him. He needs to get out and interact with kids his own age instead of being here with Kenzie cooped up in the house. When I get the chance I'll post pics of his first morning in front of his daycare.
In other news, if some of you haven't heard..I dropped my nursing class. I went for two days and it was just awful. Let me explain. I was told when I registered for this one month class that it would be 14 people only. So i was thinking great..a small class...I'll be able to ask questions and everything will be great. BUT on my first day they informed us that they were putting three classes together. A total of 45 people and THREE professors. I was like...what the hell? So I decided to stick it out for a couple of days. But it was impossible. Everyone kept fighting for the equipment that we're supposed to learn on...and frankly...it was a pain in my ass. So tomorrow I am registering for the same class for the fall. It starts at the end of October oddly enough, but I'll still get to apply for the program for next fall not next spring. Anyways, I'm enrolled in Anatomy II for Summer II so things are still going as planned...but with just a minor change.
So now I'm here at home with no kids and bored as all get out. I did go to the dollar movie yesterday to see Norbit and it was a lot of fun. I haven't gotten to do that in forever. And the movie was really funny. So anways, better get back to doing nothing. I just want to thank everyone for making Gavin's birthday so special. He is enjoying all of his new toys and looking so cute in his new clothes!! We missed you Dina and Manda!!
Love everyone!

I DID IT PEOPLE.....I DID IT!!!!
I can PROUDLY say that I made an A in my Algebra class!!!!!!! WOO HOOOOO! You guys don't even know how freakin' excited I am about this. I have literally worked my ass off. And plus my occasional bitching and moaning gave you quite a hint on how I really truly view Algebra..pain in my ass! But God bless my professor...GOD BLESS HIM!
Also, I made A's in my Compisition class and my Psychology class. So what does that mean? Anybody? Anybody? That means, that when I get an A in the nursing basic skills class that I am taking in Summer I. I will officially be applying to El Centro's nursing program with a 4.0 GPA. Ahhhhhh...how great life is.
In other news, Gavin is starting his first daycare on Monday. I enrolled him today and I feel really good about it. Completely out of my mind with nerves, anxiety, and sadness. But I know that once he gets used to it, he's going to love it. The reason I'm having to do this is because of that nursing class. It starts on Monday and it's a 4 hour morning class. I told my dad about it about a month ago and he was like "I'll watch Gavin, but I can't watch Kenzie." Everybody knows that girl is a holy terror...lol. So I talk to Erik and we decided that this would be best. This will be a great summer...I can just feel it.
I'll make sure to take pictures of his first morning and post them up here. I keep trying to tell him that he's going to start school on Monday but he's in denial...lol...it's so cute. Keep your fingers crossed for him.
So I'm off to bed, I'll give you all the details after Monday. Love everyone!

Yes..I'm still alive.
Ok, so some of you may think that I have jumped off the face of the earth. Nope, still here...still kickin'. So many things have been going on here I don't even know where to start. Many birthdays have been celebrated many tests have been taken...many hearts I've been breakin'. Ok, not really...since I was rhyming..why not go with it right?
So school is going good. I'm currently making A's in both my classes but they are low A's and if I don't do good on my finals then I can basically just kiss those A's away.
I start Maymester on the 14th for Pscychology. I've already taken this class and made a B. But sinnnnnnnnce the nursing field is in such high demand, it's almost necessary that I apply in August with a 4.0 gpa. Talk about pressure!! I swear, if I get into this program I will probably kiss everyone I meet, and know for that matter. Pucker up babyyy!! Ow!
So it's late, I'm a bit loopy. Can you tell?
Ok, so invitations for Gavin's b-day are going out tomorrow. I actually had some quiet time today to address and stamp them. It's going to be a GREAT party. I'm actually thinking about trying to rent a margarita machine. I know, child's birthday..drinking? Hmmmm...I see it this way...us adults need to drink to deal with that many children! Ha ha! We'll see about the machine...otherwise it's BYOB.
Well, I better head to bed. Love all of you guys and miss you too!

Sad
Today I'm sad. Here are the reasons why.
1. I'm sad because families are crying in Virginia tonite.
2. I'm sad because I found out that the day that I'm going to be maid of honor to my friend Deidra's wedding is on the exact same night that the Dave Matthews Band will be performing at Smirnoff. When have I missed a concert? I can't even remember.
3. I'm sad because I didn't say Happy Birthday to one of my best friends yesterday.
4. I'm sad because I feel that my life is nothing but studying and school stress.
5. I'm sad because we finally took Gavin's wubba (pacifier) away and now all of a sudden he's not momma's baby anymore.
6. I'm sad because I haven't exercised in over a week. 10 days to be exact. I can't find the motivation.
7. I'm sad that I'm having to write this ridiculous list that is somehow making me feel better.
8. I'm sad that I feel that I'm losing track of my friends.
9. I'm sad that I'm going to be going to school ALL summer.
10. I'm sad because my STUPID English professor has yet to send me my graded assignments, even after I've sent her two emails and left a lengthy message on her machine. I mean, what the hell is the problem?
11. I'm sad because Dina feels defeated. I really feel like I'm right there with you.
12. I'm sad because I feel like I just can't pick myself up right now. When will everything just calm down?
Hope this didn't depress you.

Drained
Did I mention that I CANNOT stand Algebra? Because I can't. I'm literally wondering why the heck I'm doing these stupid problems while I'm studying. I know for sure that I do not need to know this stuff now..am I truly going to need this when I become a nurse? Is this some kind of torture tactic that they make you go through to prepare you for the future? Because I'm not sure it it's working.
Dancing with the Stars is back on! I just love this show..who's with me?

Total Randomness (stealing this from Dina)
Dina has inspired me to talk about all the random stuff that I've been thinking about here lately.
1. I miss cable. The storm on Tuesday totally messed with our cable and it's completly out. I called them two days ago and the soonest they can come and fix it is Sunday...Sunday of all days..I just don't get it. It's not like I live my life for television but it's nice to have it when you're bored and you can't sleep (like right now.)
2. I miss Dina. It wasn't the same without you there tonite at April's B-day dinner. I kept thinking that we were missing somebody tonite. And we were! April isn't getting here fast enough girlfriend. Are you going to be here for Teresa's birthday?
3. What am I going to be doing this weekend? I'm really not that sure. Supposedly, Simon and Sawyer are going to be staying the weekend over here but I have yet to see them. Simon's 11th birthday was in February and we have yet to celebrate it. I think the immediate family is going to get together and throw him a little party. What do I get an 11 year-old that he won't use once and forget about? Hmmmm.
4. You know I must be terribly bored to spurt out all this randomness at such a late hour. I truly dislike being bored. Who's with me? I suppose I could lay down and stare at the ceiling for a couple of hours but how fun does that sound? The internet is my only survival right now. And whoever knows me knows how I'm really not that much of a fan of blogging. I do it because I want to keep up with my friends. And I have to say that we've done a heck of a job stickin' together for this long. It's going to be two years 'til are ten year highschool reunion. Wow, I feel old. I shouldn't say that though because really..I'm not.
5. I'm really anxious to start nursing school. It seems like a never-ending road getting there. I found out that the last day for applying to El Centro for the Fall semester was February 28th. I mean who would put the last day of applying for next Fall in the middle of Spring semester. I mean come on. So it looks like the soonest of getting in will be next Spring. Ughhh. That's even if I get in. But if I don't I've made sure to have a backup plan.
6. Dogs barking at 11:00pm at night are annoying. I mean, what in the heck are they barking at anyways? Probably stupid teenage kids walking around.
7. I think I've wasted enough of your time with this. Sorry to all of those who have read my mindless blogging tonite. I have to say that it's pretty therapeutic and that it has taken some of the bordom away for about thirty minutes though.
Everyone, had a great night tonite. Hope you guys have a weekend full of fun and fullfillment! Love ya!

Everyone...it finally happened!
Gavin went pee-pee in the potty for the first time today!!! Hallelujah!!!
I'm so so so excited I can't stand it! We had previously started his potty training about 4 or 5 months ago but I knew in my heart that he wasn't ready. But last week I decided that it was time. Erik and I bought him the cutest Spider Man and sports underwear and he seemed very excited about them. Well we started bright and early last Thursday but he kept wetting and dirtying his underwear. I was completly stressed out but I stayed persistent and very patient with him. Well this morning I was reading him a book on the potty and he went! I was so excited and I didn't want to say anything until he was finished. Then he looked at me with the biggest smile and I praised him like no other. I did the "pee-pee dance" and my dad came into the bathrom and did the dance with me..it was so cute! Afterwards he called his Me-maw and his Aunt Melanie and his daddy to share the good news. So now I'm sharing the good news with you guys! Yay!

Oh what a night...
So our anniversary was perfect! The meal was spectacular and everything went smoothly. I swear, if you haven't tried Maggianos..it's awesome! You don't know what you're missing! I had the lobster stuffed ravioli..and oH..mY..gOD...it was wonderful! After dinner I surprised to find out that Erik planned for my family to be at my favorite whole in the wall bar for some karaoke! I thought we were going to moviesss..but he tricked me!! I had a blast winning third place at the karaoke contest. Melanie won second!! This was out of ten people so I was very pleased with us. I sang "I would do anything for love" by Meatloaf. Then later I sand "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen and then after one of the judges stopped me and told me that if I had sang that song at the contest I would have won! Wow, did I feel great! Well all in all it was a fantastic night that I'll never forget. Thanks honey for making it happen!

What a week.
It's been quite a week for me over here. My English class started on Monday where I was suprised to find out that I needed to buy THREE books for this course. Can you believe that? Three books? Well I found them all at three different locations..but it took a lot of work and my professor was little to no help. Other than that I've still kept on my exercise regime. Right now I'm doing the elliptical for thirty minutes six days a week and I've been really trying to cut my portions down. I'm excited because weigh-in is tomorrow and I hope that I've lost. I've really been kickin' butt. Another thing I'm excited about is that mine and Erik's anniversary is Friday! We will have been together for six years! Can you believe it? So he's going to be taking me to my favorite Italian restaurant Maggiano's...and oh my gosh it's soo good! I won't be dieting that night needless to say. We're also going to the movies that night..(if we have time) and I have no clue what to go see...any suggestions? Well I hope everyone's having a great week and I'll let you know how our night went!
p.s. Thank you Dina and Katy for the sweet little Valentine's Day card..Gavin loved it!!

Life Lessons
Never record the Superbowl on your DVR.
When the recording stops thirty minutes before the game ends...start it back up!
Never accidentally change the channel five minutes before the game is over and then when you change the channel back the winning team is already running the field.
-sorry honey.
-yay Colts!!

Back to it again.
Ok, so I started back to my healthy lifestyle on January 2nd. As of today I have lost 9.6lbs and I'm feeling pretty good. I've been walking with Karen and doing the elliptical and both have been kicking my butt! But I think I'm going to start journaling on here my thoughts and feelings because a lot of what I'm eating is emotional and I've been thinking about starting a journal for awhile now. So mine will be public and hopefully it will show people they're not alone.
So today January 29, 2007.
Here it goes... Thoughts right now? Well, I can't escape the fact that my back pains are back. They come and go and I'm not sure if the exercising is causing the pain...but it sure is getting on my nerves. I always thought that when you exercised you should feel better...but I think you feel a lot worse before you begin to feel better. Any thoughts on this..please swing them my way. Another thought. Well I'm already anxious for my clothes to start fitting better. But I've tried my jeans on and I just can't tell a difference. Karen reminds me that you lose weight in all different areas like your legs, and arms....but why can't I just lose it in my waist?..I mean, come on already!!
So Karen and I made a really great healthy meal that I got out of my new cookbook. I got this cookbook at a thrift store for $4 (well Melanie bought it..but I snagged it.) So I think I'm going to start posting recipes on here for everyone's enjoyment.
Ok, hope everyone's having a great week!!

So...
It's almost been a month since my last post. What's wrong with me?! I told Dina that I'm just not as interesting as everyone else to be able to blog every day. BUT I'm really going to try to post more often. I know that this is the best way to keep up with everyone and for them to keep up with me. So it's just been same ol' over here. I haven't started school yet so I'm actually kind of bored..and a little stress free. I start school in February..so I'll probably be posting more on here..just so I can vent. Well anyways, I found out that I only have two classes left before I can apply to nursing school. I'm super excited about that..because MAYBE if I get accepted I'll be able to start school in the Fall. But if I don't..there's still plenty of classes I can take to go towards a bachelor's degree. So I've basically got everything planned out. Anyways, I miss Erik. He's in Utah and he's been gone since Thursday. It hasn't been that long and I'm really to busy during the day to miss him...but it's at night when I'm wanting him here the most. I just get in trouble because I watch scary movies..but I never actually got scared when he was here. So I've had to lay off of the scary movies until he comes back. But I do pick him up at the airport tomorrow..so yay! Ok, well I better hit the hay...miss you guys!

I know...
I haven't been on here in forever. Believe me, there have been several times that I've wanted to come on here and vent my heart out..but I just haven't had the strength. I'm exhausted. I'm just really exhausted. This is one of the busiest times in my life. Why, you ask? Well, I'm getting to the end of my school semester and my Anatomy teacher has squeezed 4 tests back to back, and not to mention 2 take home tests. I'm tired of Anatomy. To the point that I don't even want to become a nurse because I'm just sick of learning about the body. And can you believe I'm taking Anatomy 2 next semester? I just want to get it OVER. I'm telling myself that this is all going to pay off in the long run.
So Erik, Gavin, and I are going to get our XMAS pictures done this Sunday. I'm already expecting the rush because it's the weekend that everyone's going to get thier pics done too..just in time to send them out in Xmas cards. But I'm determined damnit. I'm going to get these done if my life depends on it..and its seeming that way thus far.
I am actually in a good mood today though. Manda, I'm wearing those booties that you got me for my birthday. It's freakin' freezing in my house, so I put on my booties and they're sooo warm, and comfy, and pretty....and pretty sounding (they have bells on the remember?) Gavin and Kenzie are having a kick out of them....I even turned on some Xmas music and started stomping around...Gavin and Kenzie were laughing with delight. Awww, kids are great.
Well anyways, I have to go study some more. New test on Saturday. I've been praying that we'll have a huge snow storm and then school will be closed on Saturday. Everyone pray with me!! Hope everyone's having a better week than me.

Y'all...I want a sewing machine.
I really do. Do you know that I actually "window" shop for sewing machines? Why do they have to be so darn expensive? I think the cheapest one I've found is for $75 at Walmart. But this is my dilema. I don't think I'm ready to spend that kind of money on something I'm not sure I'd enjoy doing. Yeah, it sounds great..I would love to make my own pillows and stuff like that. But would it be more frustrating than enjoyable? Why can't they have sewing machines you can test drive for a little bit? To see if you actually enjoy doing it. *Sigh*. These things I wonder.
Oh, I also wanted to say Happy Birthday to one of my very best friends, Manda!! I cannot wait to see you tonite! I really hope you love the gift Erik and I got you. We were torn over many things, and since you didn't give us any hints..you'll just have to like it and that be that! :P
And another thing, I made another A on my anatomy test. So so far that's two high A's and one B-(damn you chemistry chapter.) So I celebrated by buying me a new purse at Target. I got it on clearance for $5 and it's super-duper cute. Y'all will get to see it tonite. B
But anyways, hope everyone is having a safe weekend and I can't wait to see you guys tonite! (definitely will miss you Dina.)

Peace and Quiet
My favorite time of the day you ask? Well it's when both babies are down for their nap and then I FINALLY have peace and quiet. It's amazing how difficult it is to take care of two kids during the day. Especially since Gavin has turned into a bully and I'm having to discipline him every other minute. *Sigh*. But on to a not so stressful subject. Birthdays. I love birthdays. I love celebrating them and I love shopping for birthday gifts. Two birthdays are coming up (well three if you include me.) My older sister Melanie..and one of my best friends Manda. They both happen to be this week so it will be a busy but fun one for me. Can you guys please tell me what you would like for your b-day? Melanie has given me some hints..but I haven't heard anything from Manda :)
Well, I better go study. Can't wait to see you guys this week! (AND Dina...can't wait to see you in two more weeks!)

Potty Training Nightmare!
Ok, so today is officially day two of Gavin's potty training. Well, I hate to say it..but I'm ready to give up. He has yet to tee-tee in the potty BUT we have come a long way. First, Gavin was afraid of the potty..."No Noooo Nooooooo!!" he would yell. But now we're at the point where he'll let me read him a book on the potty...but still NO tee-tee! I thought it would help for him to see his cousin Sawyer go tee-tee...but it hasn't. And I thought that his training pants would keep some of the tee-tee in...but he wet his bed after his nap today. And I knew he had to potty really bad before his nap..so I put him on the potty before hand...but still...no TEE-TEE. I'm ready for any help or tips that come my way! Please!!!
On another note we went to a really cook Pumpkin Patch yesterday in Flower Mound. It was free parking and free to get in. There were also free bouncy houses,hay-ride and a petting zoo. We had a great time! The only thing that cost were drinks/food BUT they were really reasonable. It was so much fun to go out in the pumpkin patch and pick our own pumpkin. I'll put some pics up here so you can see the great time we had!

So it happened...
We finally got Gavin a haircut. I know a lot of you didn't want us to get his curls cut off but it was just getting toooooo long. And it's not like their not going to come back...this was his fourth haircut..so we're positive he'll have curls by Christmas. Just thought I'd share. Hope everyone is having a great week!

catchin' up
So Kenzie's birthday was something else to say the least. Ok, Karen reserved this really big room that accomodates at least 30 people at this really good mexican restaurant for Kenzie's first birthday. So Karen and I go to the restaurant an hour early (with cake and balloons in tow) to start the decorating process. Well anyways, we wait for a couple of minutes because supposedly they were "cleaning" the room for us. Well finally they led us to this room that was not even half the size of the "big room"..and we were like "what the hell?" And then it happened...and I don't think I've ever seen this person before. But I saw the rath of Karen. She went from 0 to 100 in about 5 seconds. I think she was most angry because she had reserved it two weeks in advance and then talked to the manager the night before to make sure that everything was settled. Well needless to say she gave the manager HELL...and when I say hell she was about a curse word away from them calling the police on her. So I finally was able to calm her down and the manager led me around the restaurant to see what was suitable for the party and they eventually sectioned off a pretty good section. But the worst part of all of this...is that the people who were decorating the room for their bridal shower didn't even show up until we were leaving Kenzie's party (which was about 3 and a half hours later.) So that room wasn't even being used that WHOLE time! So then Karen proceeded to blow another gasqet and proceeded to cry and to tell the night manager about all that had happened to her. Well get this. She had told the night manager (which is a woman) that Santos was the man that she made the reservation with two weeks prior and the man that she talked to the night before. Well when she came in that day the day manager was the one she was screaming at...and she's like "Where is Santos????????!!.....I want to talk to Santos????!!!!!" And he was like...Santos is not here. Well the night manager (the lady) told her that the man she was talking to WAS Santos! Can you believe that??! Well Karen is calling corporate tomorrow to air her grievances. But the party actually went pretty well. Kenize got a lot of great things and we had a couple of pitchers of margaritas so we were fine. I just had to tell that story...oh my gosh it was just awful. Thanks for everyone who was there to celebrate her precious little birthday.

I'm dying a slow death.
School is killing me! My freakin' classes are hard this year. Well Philosophy isn't..but Anatomy/Physiology is kickin' my ass. I don't think I've ever studied this much in my life. I'm putting so much stress on myself because I HAVE to get an A in this class (basically if I want to get into nursing school) and it's going to take everything in me to do it. So I'm counting the days 'til this semester is over (which is around Christmas) so oddly enough I'm counting the days until Christmas!
So Kenzie turns 1 tomorrow. Awww little K-chub. That's what Erik and I call her...it fits her perfectly. I can't believe she's already 1. How did that year pass me that fast? I have no clue. So we're not really doing anything for her birthday tomorrow. Karen says that we'll celebrate it on Saturday (her birthday party) and that's enough for her..lol. We're doing a cool thing this year and not have her birthday party at the house..but at this REALLY good mexican restaurant. They have an HUGE room that Karen reserved and we're going to get there early to decorate and it's just going to be PERFECT. And the best thing...no clean up! Wooohoo!
So Gavin is doing good. He's talking more and more everyday. He's sooo cute. He learned how to say that daddy's at work...of course it sounds like "da-GA werk". And he finally said I love you back to me today...but it sounds like "e-lubu"..no one could probably understand it but me...awww..he's so cute.
Well that's about all that's going on right now...I hope all of you are having a good week!

*Sigh*
One of my very best friends is getting married tomorrow. It just makes me feel all warm inside because so many memories just flood into my mind. I remember her being a short/shy blonde haired girl who could barely say two words to me...and now...YEARS later..we're still friends. Ok, so I felt this way when Dina got married..(remember me? crying through the whole ceremony?). Thank your lucky stars that I wont be there tomorrow...boy would the floods gates break! Ohhhh I love you Teresa sooo much!!! I just hope you have to most perfect day tomorrow! You are going to be a Mrs....can you believe that? Well I want to hear every little detail about tomorrow as soon as you can! Tell Alex I love him too...and give Gabby a big hug from me! Teresa...if I was there you know I would give you the "talk". But I can't. I just want you to know that if you ever need me..that I am here for you. Ohhhhh *big big big big hugs*
Have a beautiful day tomorrow!!

I love him.
I love Dave Matthews everyone. I'm sure you know this by now. But I really do love him. The concert on Saturday kicked ass! Man it was sooooo good! I was able to experience it with Erik, Karen, Jon, and Melanie...it's been a long while since we've all seen Dave together. It was so awesome! Talk about being tired afterwards. I spent 3hrs dancing my ass off.
So God has blessed me today. As you know Erik has been looking for a job for awhile now and we've been getting behind on our car payments, which has really been stressing me out. So yesterday Erik and I were going through the Sunday paper want ads and I found an ad stating that they were needing people for a research survey and that they would pay $300 for two days. Ok, so I go onto the website to see if they are legit..and they are! My mom has actually gone to a couple of their surveys once before. So anyways, I register our names into their website and they immediately call Erik the next morning. And then I called them and they entered me into the survey as well! That's $600 for two days..woo hoo! I had intentionally wanted to have a garage sale at my house to raise some money up for my car....but now I don't have too! Yay! Thank you God!
On another good note I have officially lost 26lbs. I have been maintaining for most of the summer but then was able to get off a couple more pounds here recently. I'm hoping to be at least 35lbs lighter by my birthday...which is definitely reasonable.
Ok, well I hope y'all are all having a great Monday!

Please Exercise Gods!!!
Take this pain away!!! If you saw me now you would think to yourself.."Why is Stacy walking with a limp?" It's because I'm in pain...that's why! Ok, I've been really stepping it up a notch when it comes to my exercising. See I'm in a contest with a group of 5 girls scattered around the U.S. We all met on SparkPeople and we all came up with this great idea to have our own version of the Biggest Loser. Whoever loses ten pounds first wins a $25 gift card to your favorite place to shop. So considering I'm broke as hell I really want to win this card. Well I've been doing cardio for awhile now and I decided that it was time to add on some strength training. So I printed out the exercises that SparkPeople assigned to me and I did one each just as it told me to do so. So I'm feeling really good about all of this until the next day!! My quads and my ass are killing me! I feel like I can only walk if I have crutches...it's that bad. So it's been two days since I did this and I'm still in tremendous pain. How do people keep on doing strength exercises? I vowed today that I'll never do forward lunges or squats again!!!! "Owww, my ass"

I haven't posted in forever!
OH my God..I haven't posted in forever. What's the matter with me? You know what it was? I started a new myspace account and I became a myspace snob and forgot all about my blogger blog over here. I suck.
So then a lightening bolt hit me! (well actually it was Teresa and Manda). And they told me to put on my myspace blog that I have a blog here..and that this is where I update my life from time to time. So I did! Great idea you guys!
So life has been pretty good over here. I finished summer II last week and I found out today that I made an A in my class! And it was a well deserved A because it was toughhhh. Oh my gosh it was like taking a freakin' English class! But I got through it!
Other than that I am still on my healthy lifestyle. WOW. Yeah I know...it's been since January. I've still kept the same weight..I've been in the terrible habit of letting myself gain some..and then losing that weight the next week. Basically I have been maintaining.....but now I've been back on the ball for the past couple of weeks. Working out and staying within my calories..go me!
So we I had an awesome time and Teresa's bachelorette party last weekend. Can you say drunktify? Because that's what I was for about a whole second. And Teresa too! "There's an oh shit grip?...OHHHHHhhhh shit!" That's freakin' priceless...and I just love hanging out with you guys. And I'm going to miss you Dina terribly. How am I not going to cry on Friday?
*sigh*.
Well guys, I'm off to bed. Hope you're having a pleasurable week ;)

Ok...so I finally
enrolled for the Fall semester! Yay! So relieved and happy and did I say relieved? I got all the classes I needed and I wanted. AND I'm actually going to take a class during Summer II (which starts next Monday.) That class will be intro to theater. I normally wouldn't have to take this class but I dropped out of it when I was going to Richland (this is also the time where I quit going to classes so I could go hang out with Erik in Killeen.) Well anyways, dropping out of the class has severly brought down my GPA and I can't afford for it to be low. If all works well I'll be up to 3.8 or 3.9 by the end of the spring semester. Then I'll be ready to put my applications in to nursing school. The two classes I'm taking during the Fall are Anatomy and Philosophy. I need to get A's on those and then get an A in college Algebra during the Spring and I should have my GPA where I need it. I'm starting to get really excited about this. It's like I've been going to school for sooooo long and it's finally getting down to where I can actually do clinical rotation and stuff...FUN! Well, just thought I would express my excitement! Have a great week everyone!

Yeah...I know
So I haven't blogged in awhile...yeah..I know. A lot of things have been going on here and well...I just haven't found time to blog them down. Well as you know Gavin turned 2 last Friday. We had a two day celebration and he made out like a bandit. I'm so thankful to all of you guys who were there for the celebration! He started his Mother's Day Out program last Tuesday. So he still kicks up a fuss when we leave him but his teacher's say that he does do good during the day. He even decorated his very first t-shirt on Thursday...it was so cute..it was a jungle theme and he wore it on his birthday..cute cute cute. I'm starting to really love this mother's day out thing. He gets to do so many cool things and I get to do errands and EVEN go to the $1 movie with Erik last Tuesday (we haven't gotten to do anything like that in a LONGGG time.)
Ok, so April had her baby yesterday and I'm super excited to meet her!! Her name is Elizabeth but they're going to call her Lizzie for short...isn't that the cutest? Also, Jess graduated from high school...and I can't believe it! I remember when she was "puppy" and she sounded like a munchkin...awwww..memorrriiieeess. Congrats Jess! Also, Congratulations to Teresa, Alex, and Kari on closing their new home last week. I can't wait to see it and I'm so happy for you guys!
So anyways, I'm going to register for my classes tomorrow and I'm really nervous about it. I'm not really sure why but I think it's because I haven't been back to school for a whole year. Yeah, I didn't even think it was that long. BUT I have a reason for not going last semester. I had all my classes picked out and everything perfect until I lost my driver's license. I mean it was lost...like I had to go to the DPS and get a new one lost. I couldn't get it in time to register and they won't let you register without a picture I.D. and that's the only one I had. But anyways, I am excited to be starting back up again. If I am right I have three classes left until I start my nursing program and either El Centro or Brookhaven. Man I can't wait. I'm going to need volunteers to let me do shots and cathiters..ha ha.
Well anyways, that's about all that's going on right now. Oh except I have Simon and Sawyer for the WHOLE week this week and I'm already tired!! No, I'm happy they're here :)
Have a great week everybody!

It's a sad sad day in T.V. land today
I hate Ryan Seacrest!!!! What an asshole, the way he kicked off Chris last night. I swear, if it wasn't for Taylor I would give up on American Idol completly. Ryan Seacrest..if you are reading this...you are a jerk and I hate you!
To Chris Daughtrey..if you're reading this...I love you..errr (wait Erik's reading this)...I like you a lot. You brought something to American Idol that no one has ever brought before.......the fact that you didn't compromise who you are just for the fat guy with all the dough. I will indeed buy your c.d. when it comes out and I will see you on tour!!!
To the fat guy with all of the dough. You should have rigged this season buddy.

He's on his way!
I am soooo excited right now. I have officially found a Mother's Day Out program for Gavin! It starts the first week of June and ends in the middle of July. If Erik and I agree on it...he'll be going every Tuesday and Thursday/9:30-2:30. I read the little syllabus they have for his age and he's going to get to do so many fun things. He'll get to jump in a bouncey house, and go on a scavenger hunt, and he'll even make his own little tye dyed shirt with his hand prints on it...ewwwwwwwwWWWW..I am so excited! Just had to share.
In other news I weighed in today and have lost 27lbs. I feel really good and just recently Karen bought an elliptical trainer so I'm excited to be adding that to my exercise routine. Yay! Just having a really good day today.
I hope all of you have a great Mother's Day for all of you mamma's out there!

Wannahockaloogy :)
Just felt like saying that..he he he. I was just thinking..is my life really that boring that I can't even blog regularly? I keep thinking of things to blog about..but when I start to blog..they don't seem at all interesting..hmmmm. I'm missing Billie and the kids right now. If you're reading this "Hi Billie!!" I can't wait to see your new house and we can't wait to see you! Hmmm..who else am I missing? I'm missing Erik..he's at work right now..and I'm missing him. I'm also missing my girls. We need to have another slumber party or something..or maybe a margarita/slumber party night?? hmmm??
So Gavin's birthday is coming up. We're thinking about having a picnic thingy at Sandy Lake park. They have little rides and face paintings and stuff like that. This is not definite...but and idea. I can't believe Gavin is going to be two. *sigh*.
Well I guess that's about all that I have to blog about right now. Oh! I'm officially 25lbs. lighter..pretty excited...but not yet ready to go bathing suit shopping if you know what I mean..lol.
Hope everyone's having a great week!

Back from the dead!
Hey everyone! Yeah, I haven't posted for awhile and I'm sorry. With Easter and having a hellish time trying to get our family portrait done..I've kinda been busy. So Erik, Gavin and I went to Kiddie Kandids to get our Easter pics done..and it was AWFUL. After waiting an hour for our turn Gavin decided that he was going to have a crying fit to the point that he was about to vomit. I was so sad...we all looked so good. It just wasn't meant to happen I guess. In other news, Dina threw a great Easter egg coloring party and we had an absolute blast! Teresa and Alex got Gavin the most adorable little blue animal and furry blue bunny ears (they were a hit on Easter morning.) Thanks you guys. Also! Teresa turned the big 2-5! Happy Birthday girlie...when are we having a birthday dinner for you? Also Gavin officially has an appt. with an ENT specialist to see how his tongue-tied situation. I'm really nervous about it because I know the inevitable will be that he'll have to go under anesthesia to get his tongue clipped "Ouch!" I'll let you guys know more after his appt. And so in case you're wondering.. I am still losing weight! Yay! I guess everyone else has fell off the wagon but I'm here still trying to go strong. As of today I have lost 23.8lbs. I've started walking around the neighborhood which I've really enjoyed. Erik and I are looking into getting an apartment...so we're apartment hunting I guess you should say. If any of you guys know of an apartment complex that will work with your credit let me know.
Ok guys, I hope all of you are having a great week!

Ok so...
we didn't weigh-in this week. Some of you may have already noticed that. Here's the thing...we decided that we would start weighing in back on Monday's again. We switched from having it on Friday because we were doing a hell of a lot better on the weekends knowing that we had weigh-in on Mondays..so we switched. Erik and I did weigh-in yesterday..but decided that we wouldn't post it up because we gained..and we're losers..lol. No really, we did really bad this weekend because of Karen's birthday and all the eating and drinking took a toll on our results. So we're coming back strong and hope that we have a significant weight loss on Monday's weigh-in.
So Karen's party was a blast! Thanks to all of you who came..you really did make Karen's birthday extra special! I freakin' loved the karaoke party...I'm even surprised that DINA actually sang a song...BY HERSELF! Woohoo! You go girl!
So it's today and I'm sooo tired. We had a hell of a night last night. It started off that Gavin woke up right before Erik and I went to bed. So he whined and cried until we let him in the bed with us. Which really wasn't so bad because he fell asleep rather quickly. So Erik put him back into his crib and everything was mellow..right? WRONG! Joe kept going in and out of the house slamming the door which was waking Gavin up..and having us start at square one again. SO FINALLY, Gavin went back to sleep...Erik and I fell asleep...and THEN...Erik wakes up me up frantic asking me if I smell smoke. Ok, so I'm half dazed here..but I definitely smell smoke. We both get up and search the house at 2am mind you, and we find nothing. And then it dawns on me...I bet Joe is smoking in his room and the smoke is coming through the vents into our room. I precede to knock on his door (and I know he's awake because I can hear him talking.) He doesn't answer the door! Asshole. Finally I picked up the phone and he's having a conversation with Janna's answering machine and I tell him to quit smoking or I will kick his ass....(and this is all on Janna's machine..priceless.) We finally fall asleep after all is said and done. But Gavin and I didn't wake up until 11:15am. and our whole schedule is off...it sucks. Woo! Yeah, so that's how my day is going.
I hope everyone's day is going better!

EXHAUSTED!
I am sooo freakin' exhausted right now. It's about 9p.m. and I'm just needing to vent. I honestly know how it feels to have three kids. Here's the thing...Simon (my nephew) has been here since Friday..add him on to Kenzie and Gavin...and it's been mayhem! It's like no matter what..they couldn't get in sync. I feel like all I've been doing is feeding kids!! They don't all eat at the same time..and it's like once I get Gavin fed Kenzie's cryin' or Simon's wanting a snack. I just want to give props out there to all you momma's who have more than one child, I honestly don't know how you do it!
So some of you may know that I had an AWFUL habit of biting my nails to the nub..I never ever grew them long. Wellllll, this will be my third week of quitting the habit! (wow, I feel like I've quit smoking or something.) Anyways, it's a real big deal to me and I'm excited. I think I'll reward myself with a professional manicure or something..go me!
I've also been improving more each day on my healthier lifestyle and I'm feeling pretty good. You know when you think about it...there's really no quick fix to weight loss. Yeah, you quit eating carbs for a month and drop 20lbs...but what happens? You go crazy! And then you realize you have a peanut butter sandwich in each hand and your goin' at it! (yes, this is coming from experience.) But in reality everyone knows how to lose weight and keep it off...you expend more calories than you're taking in. But it's HARD...and it's SLOW...and before you know it..you've given up and your draggin' your feet in the dirt. I just really needed to express how hard it really has been. I mean, what I'm having to do is completly change my life. I've had some slip ups and I have actually really thought about how easy it would be to go back to my old self. But I can't. I am going to beat this..and live to tell about it! Thanks for everyone's support...I truly love you guys from the bottom of my heart!
Hope everyone is having a really good week :)

We did it!
Melanie, Erik and I are happy to announce that we have finally made it to our 2nd month mark and we are soaring!! Not only did we lose weight but we feel great and we feel a huge sense of accomplishment. I'm very proud of Melanie, she has met her 10lb. weight loss goal and then some! Erik has been taking his weight off steadily and is now wearing some of his "skinny" jeans! And for me I have made it past 20lbs. and I feel like dancin'!! Here is this week's weigh-in results!

Just us two.
So Erik and I were the only ones you weighed in this morning. Melanie had an excuse though, considering she was in the car this morning on her way with Jon to Louisianna for Jon's brother's wedding. I don't know what happened to Karen, and well my mom...she hasn't really been showing her face around here lately. So here are the results.
7th Weigh-In
1st Place-Stacy/lost 1.6lbs this week/19.8 lbs total/5.91% lost! (oh my gosh, I’m almost at 20lbs!)
2nd Place-Erik/+.2lbs this week/15lbs total/4.57% lost!
Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Sixth Weigh-in
2/24/06 Sixth Weigh-in
1st Place- Stacy/lost 2lbs. this week/18.2 lbs total/5.43% lost!
2nd Place- Erik/lost 1.8lbs this week/15.2lbs total/4.63% lost!
3rd Place- Melanie/lost 1.3lbs this week/8.9lbs total/3.39% lost!
4th Place- Karen/+5.8lbs this week/1.8lbs total/.63% lost!
Personally, this was a tough week for me. Even though I did my exercises, I dreaded them. That's normally not the case because I've been enjoying my exercises here lately. I think it has to do with the weather. It's been way too cold to take Gavin out walking so I've just been stuck doing video tapes this week. In the past, this is probably when I would have given up my exercise routine. I would have stopped exercising..and then felt so guilty about it that I would endulge in all the fattiest foods I could find. But I'm not going to do that this time. Even though it was a tough week, I was able to lose 2lbs. So my body knows that something different is going on...and I'm actually feeling stronger and having a lot more energy. In other words, we're all going to have those times where we're wanting to give up...where we think what's the use. But you will get over it..you WILL get over it. I give big props to everyone who's losing weight and adapting a healthier lifestyle. And for those you are just starting out, or have just given up...you CAN do this...DON'T GIVE UP!!!

Nothin' much to report.
I'm having a blah day today. I don't know if it's the weather or what..but I just can't get into a good mood. I hate days like these. On a plus note I'm excited because I'm still losing weight. I'll post the update on Friday. Other than that I don't have much to say...(you probably can tell by my babbling.) I hope that everyone is having a good week at least. Everyone say a little prayer that Dina and Katy have a safe trip to Florida. Ok, bye!
p.s. If you haven't checked out Alanis Morrissette's Jagged Little Pill acoustic version...it's AWESOME. Erik got it for me for Valentine's day and I can't quit listening to it...brings back some major high school memories.

Happy Valentine's Day Everybody!
I hope everyone is having a good Valentine's Day so far. Mine has started out great. Erik and I gave Gavin some toys this morning and he's spent the whole morning pushing his lawn mower everywhere he went. Unfortunately Erik will not be getting off work early today :( So we'll be spending Valentine's Day at 10:30p.m. tonite. I guess I'm just being selfish because I want to spend this day with him...but I know that he's out there earning much needed money..so I will try to get over this rather quickly. In other news, if any one is wondering why I haven't posted the fifth weigh-in results here is the reason why. My mom, Melanie, Karen and I decided that we need to do weigh-ins on Friday morning from now on. I know this sounds bad....but the weekends are the worse for us..and we just can't bring ourselves to weigh-in on Monday mornings anymore.
Anyways, Karen is having to go to court and see Jason on Thursday for child support and visitation. She's EXTREMLY nervous about it..so everyone say a little prayer that everything goes the way she needs it to go.
Also, cross your fingers for Teresa...she's wanting to buy her first new home and she's hoping that everything goes through well. Good Luck Teresa!
Read here on Friday for the Biggest Loser results!!!

The First Month Is Finally Over!!
Hey everybody. The first month of our Biggest Loser contest is over! Woo hoo! And guess who's in the lead! Me! I'm not meaning to gloat or anything..but I've kicked some ass this month! Ok, but on a serious note though....it's been tough. Actually I think it has gotten easier now...but the first two weeks were excruciating. I can see that now it's starting to form into more of a life-style change..and I'm starting to really feel the results. I've been mixing up work-outs so that I won't get bored. I do The Biggest Loser DVD, a stair stepping DVD, or I go to the walking trails with Gavin in the stroller and walk a mile. The key to my success is that I don't deprive myself of anything. If I want something I'll eat it..but if it's possible to find a healthier version...I'll pick that one over the fatty version. I also have been watching my portion sizes and I haven't been getting up for seconds either. All in all I feel great! I owe it all to my great support team, the members of this contest and my friends. I love you guys!

Chuck E. Cheese and 3rd Weigh-In
Hey everyone!
Hope everybody had a good weekend. I had a pretty good weekend. We took Gavin to Chuck E. Cheese for the very first time and he had a blast! I just can't believe how much he has grown up. I was expecting him to burst into tears when Chuck E. Cheese came up to see him...but he didn't! He was smiling ear to ear and he even gave Chuck E. high-fives! We all had a great time, and I'm so glad Dina and Katy where able to join us. She was just sooooo cute riding on the Teletubby ride! I was really please to see that they had a toddler section marked off. It was perfect for Katy and Gavin. They had the perfect rides and games just for their age. Needless to say it was a great evening. I hope next time Teresa and Gabby can join us!
So today was our 3rd weigh-in, and like so many times we've all tried to lose weight we encounter some flubs here and there. Some of us have had some highs this week..and some of us have had some lows. I just want to say to my team that we're dealing with a lifestyle change and it's very very hard sometimes. Don't give up!
1/30/06 Weigh-in
1st Place-Stacy/lost 1.4lbs this week/12.8lbs total/3.82% lost!
2nd Place-Erik/lost .4lbs this week/12.4lbs total/3.78% lost!
3rd Place-Melanie/lost .8lbs this week/7.9lbs total/3% lost!
4th Place-Karen/gained 3.2lbs this week/6.4lbs lost total/2.24% lost!
5th Place-Mom/gained 4.2lbs this week/.6lbs lost total/.18% lost!
I am VERY excited that I am 1st place this week! I worked hard, made a couple of mistakes..but didn't let it bring me down. Congratulations on those of you who lost this week, and for those who didn't...keep trying..don't let it bring you down!!

Brown rice.
Did you know that brown rice has 50 less calories than regular white rice? And loads more fiber! So my mom went to the store last week and brought home a bag of brown rice. I was very skeptical to say the least. I remember when I was a kid trying it and hating it...so I wasn't sure if I was going to have the same feelings. Anyways, I followed the package directions and it does take a significantly longer time to cook than white rice. The meal for that night was honey glazed salmon fillets upon a bed of brown rice with a side of boiled veggies. To sum it up in one word....DELICIOUS! I am now a brown rice fan and I am recommending it to all of you new dieters. My dad actually said he liked the brown rice better than the white rice! I couldn't believe my ears!
Erik and I have joined the Discovery Health Channel Body Challenge. They have loads of great information and you can keep up with your weight loss journey by tracking your progress daily. You can also make out your own meal plan and exercise schedule. Check it out! http://health.discovery.com/convergence/bodychallenge2006/bodychallenge2006.html?clik=netmain_feat1
I am very excited that some of my friends are jumping on the "healthier lifestyle" band wagon!! I wish everyone luck and a healthier you!

The most exhausting weekend ever.
Where do I begin? I'm so tired I can't even think straight. To sum it up in a few words Gavin and I have been extremly ill for the past three days. Poor Gavin, he couldn't keep nothing down..not even ice chips...he finally had to go to his doctor where they said he had a upper respitory infection....but wouldn't a virus keep him from keeping anything down? *shrugs* I actually caught what he had and Erik had to spend a day and a half taking care of us. But on a lighter note we were much better yesterday and even better today. But my body is still achy and tired from being sick. Erik could barely get out of bed today because he's exhausted as well. I hope this week starts to look up for us.
The second week results of our contest turned out great...we're all super excited by our results.
1/23/06 Second Weigh-in
1st Place-Erik/lost 4.8lbs this week/12lbs total/3.66% lost!
2nd Place-Stacy/lost 3.4lbs this week/11.4lbs total/3.40% lost!
3rd Place-Karen/lost 1.2lbs this week/9.6lbs total/3.37% lost!
4th Place-Melanie/lost 1.6lbs this week/7.1lbs total/2.70% lost!
5th Place-Mom/lost 4.8lbs this week/4.8lbs total/1.52% lost!
I am sooo proud of us. So far we have all totaled 44.9lbs lost!

The Biggest Loser (family version)
My family and I have decided that we all need to lose weight. So Melanie and I concocted (sp?) our own little version of The Biggest Loser in and out of waiting for our turn to bowl. Yeah Melanie, Jon, and Erik and I went bowling last weekend..we had a lot of fun even though we got the most jacked up lane and had to have assistance from some incompentant guy who worked there. Anyways, if you have ever seen The Biggest Loser on t.v. you know what I'm talking about. But if you haven't...here's how our family version goes. The contestants (Me, Melanie, Erik, Karen, and my mom) try to lose as much weight as possible. We weigh-in weekly and our weight loss will be configured to most percent lost. Anyways, it's a five month contest where we have to pay $30 dollars at the beginning of each month. The person who loses the most weight will get $550 and the second place winner will recieve $200. So far we have all stayed on track and it's already getting competitive! Our first weigh-in will be Monday morning where I will announce who's in first place, second place and so on. So this blog will kinda be my blog and weight blog.
I also want to say Congratulations to Manda and Joe's engagement. I am soooo thrilled for you guys I can't even tell you!
And Billie I finally finished your purse!! We will be sending it shortly with some other things and some pics.
And everyone please say a little prayer for Jon's dad. He had back surgery and he's having some complications right now. Apparently there was a mishap and now his dad does not have any feeling in his legs or feet whatsoever. Jon will be going back to Louisiana tonite to help his family with arrangements for a ramp to be added onto his house and just to be there for support. Please pray for them during this time.
I'll update soon. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Depressed and Frustrated
*Sigh* I am so depressed and frustrated right now. This is the thing, right now it's time to register for Spring '06 classes. I've been working hard figuring out what classes I still need for my major..and exactly what classes I was going to take this semester. Well I finally figured out what I was going to take and I had the car all day yesterday to go to the college and register. Well the depressing and frustrating part of all of this is that I cannot find my driver's license. At first I thought it was no big deal, but then I decided to call the school to ask them what else I could bring instead of my driver's license and the girl was like "any photo I.D. like a school I.D. or a passport." And I'm like I don't have any of those things. At least the girl was real nice that I talked too. But where in the hell is my driver's license. I NEVER misplace it and the one time that I need it IT'S MISSING!!! I have until the 17th to register for these classes, but the thing is that they're both internet classes and we all know how fast those get taken up. *Sigh* I have looked everywhere for this stupid I.D. where in the heck could it be???????????????!!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hey guys!
Just wanted to say that I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas. It was a great one this year for me and my fam. We all made out like bandits and my mom made the most delicious dinner ever. It was just really nice to spend time with my family and friends. I got the most beautiful necklace from Erik...it's a heart pendant with Gavin's picture engraved on it...it's sooo neat how they did it. And I also got a bike which I'm really excited about...Simon and I have already been around the neighborhood a couple of times and I'm ready to hit the bike trails over here by my house. Gavin got a motorized Jeep Wrangler from Grandma and Pappy, a Dirt Devil vaccum cleaner from Erik and I, a Radio Flyer red tricycle from Santa, a ball pit from Aunt Melanie and Uncle Jon, and a Sit 'n Spin from Aunt Karen. Not to mention a whole lot of other stuff that's too long to list. My mom really liked the bible Erik and I gave her with her name engraved on it. Melanie and Jon loved the photo album Erik and I put together of some pictures we had of them. My dad loved his Little Richard cd and Karen was so excited to finally get the new Mariah Carey cd (even though Erik wrapped it about 20 times to be an ass..it was sooo funny watching her unravel all the ribbon and scotch tape.) All in all it was a great Christmas......can't wait 'til New Years!!

House full of sickness.
There has been an overwhelming cloud of sickness floating over my house these past couple of days. Not only have I been sick but my mom, Erik, and Gavin have been sick as well. Needless to say, we've all been close to pulling one another's hair out (except Gavin.) We're all cranky, irritable, soup eaters right now..and it sucks. Please God let us all be better by Saturday! So on that note, I'm really excited about the Christmas party we're having on Saturday. Mostly I'm anxious to see everyone together and to see what everyone's been up too. Is it me, or had this holiday season zoomed by? I've barely started my Christmas shopping, and I had all these holiday plans for Erik, Gavin and I to do..but it just seems like we're running out of time. The Christmas clock needs to slow down so I can enjoy the time spent with my family and friends..and not have to worry so much about shopping.

First bad haircut.
So my mom and I took Gavin to get his haircut yesterday. And yes people, mark the date...it was his first BAD haircut. I told the lady that I wanted it to be short and spikey, with some length on the top to put gel in it to spike it. And before I knew it, it was COMPLETLY cut off...she might as well had shaved it. I mean his hair will grow out and everything..but come on now. On a happier note, he barely cried...she gave him a sucker and that did the trick..oh and my mom was getting her haircut right across from him and she was making silly faces so that helped too. I will admit that I'm a little sad that his curls were cut off...but that's his natural hair type so it will grow back.
In other news, I'm really enjoying the church my family and I are going too. Gavin has yet to get adjusted to the daycare...but hopefully there will be more playing and less crying in the future. Also, we got two angels off the angel tree at church..so we shopped for them yesterday and they should be getting their gifts on Saturday. It's a great christmas program that we're doing because the angels on the tree are prison inmate's kids who are living with their grandparents. I would just like to say that if you can..please go to your local church or mall and pick up an angel. There are so many less fortunate children out there who will not be having a Christmas this year. Think of how much joy a $10 gift will bring them on Christmas Day :) .
Ok, well I'm off to do Christmas cards. I hope everyone is having a great Monday so far!

*sings* Leaving on a jet plane..don't know when I'll be back again...
Ok,
So I'm not leaving on a jet plane, and I do know when I'm coming back. BUT I do need some help planning a trip to Kentucky. That's right! Erik, Gavin, and I will be venturing to the big K for the Thanksgiving holiday. I am really excited to be seeing Erik's fam and just to get away! So considering this is my first time to be on a big trip with my family..I welcome any advice you can give me. We will be leaving Wednesday morning and coming back on Sunday. As of right now Billie (Erik's sister) says that it's chilly over there. So I will be packing warm clothes. Do any of you have any good ideas on what to bring to a long trip like that? I know you might have some ideas Dina considering you're always traveling to see your fam. Do you have any life saving advice in regards to Gavin and the twelve hour ride? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
As for now, I'm starting to pack and check off the little list Erik and I have made.
I hope everyone has a great Turkey Day!

Christmas songs already!!?????????!!!???
I cannot believe my ears. I'm listening to Christmas music flowing through the rooms of my house today. What the %@#$? I don't know about you guys, but I think this is ridiculous! They pulled this crap last year and I swear that Thanksgiving felt like Christmas all day. What are they trying to do to me??? Whatever happened to playing them the weekend after Thanksgiving? No wonder everyone is ready to pull each other heads off by Christmas Eve..because we've had been bombarded by Christmas songs wayyyyyyyyyy too early!
As of right now, I am banning the listening of Christmas songs until Nov. 26th. Who's with me!?

I HATE MY BROTHER!!
I am soooooo f**kin tired of my brother living here!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I could scream it for all the world to hear. How is it that my own brother can bring the worst out of me? He thinks he owns everything, and he has no respect for NOTHING. He is literally putting every one of us in a depression. Before Joe got here..we understood how thankful we needed to be that we had such great parents to open their home out to us. Joe does not see that, he sees like they owe him something..uggghhhhh. I just wish he could understand how miserable he's making all of us.
Please God help us!

Officially Exhausted
Ok,
So today is the official "taking care of Kenzie while her mommy works" day. I did, however, take care of her half a day yesterday..I guess like a trial run or something. And it was just awful. Don't get me wrong..I love Kenzie very much..but she was going through this "I am going to puke up everything and not sleep at all" day. I was so exhausted when Karen came home that I upped my daycare charges to a $100 more...(I doubt she took me seriously though.)
Today is going much better. She took her bottle like a good girl (didn't spit up at all.) And she has been sleeping ever since. I'm worried about taking care of her and Gavin at the same time now. It has really made me think about what it would be like to have another baby. And I know..I'm officially not ready. Maybe in two to three years..lol.
On another note, I want to thank you all who came to Melanie's birthday party. It went off without a hitch. And she said she had the BEST time ever. Wasn't the Karaoke fun? Oh my God, I have some awfully incriminating photos here..he he he. Here are a list of some costumes that had me at "hello" :P
1. Melanie-punk rocker. This girl had a 6 inch mohawk. It was awesome!
2. Jon- it was this "got cut while shaving" costume. But it was sooooo scary. He had blood all over, he looked like a satan worshiper if you ask me.
3. Dina- bar maid. I think a few of you have seen this one. But it just gets cuter and cuter. I wish I had the bod to wear it!
4. Erik- OHHHH my gosh! He was hilarious. He had put cotton all over his shirt. So everyone was like "What are you?" And he's like "I'm partly cloudy with a chance of rain." And he would spray you with a spray bottle. It was too cute.
5. Gavin- Awwwww. My little devil. It was funny..because I would take him around and I would be like "Look at my little angel." And then everyone would be like "You mean devil." And then I would be like.."Yeah, that too!"
6. Corry- My cousin had the funniest looking Afro. Get this a 6ft. tall white boy with an afro..it had me in tears.
7. Karen- she was a cute little bunny. Who I might add..was able to take back her bunny ears and tail and get her $18 back. Devious I tell you.
8. Star- another devil in the house! She looked soooo cute!
9. Dylan- Darth vader. Need I say more?
1
0. Brandon- Dennis the Menace. He had the cutest little alfafa, and overalls and a boomarang! He really was workin' the part.
11. Stacy- Last but not least! I was a Diva Witch. Had my wig goin' and my feather boa pants. I had to say..I was workin' it as well.
I hope I'm not forgetting anybody who wore a costume. There were a whole bunch of other people who came over costumeless..and we still love you! Thanks for making Melanie's birthday soooo special!

I'm a Jogger!
Woo hoo! I actually jogged last night. Karen and I have been staying up on walking this week...and I feel great! We were walking last night..and I was like "Let's see if we can jog to that tree." And we did! And then we would walk..and then we would jog. Right now we are up to walking/jogging for 37 minutes exactly ( I have a stop watch.) We went up from 33min/34sec. We're trying to get up to an hour a night. Oh it was so scary though. We were walking down a street that we normally walk down..and there was this big ol' dog in the middle of the street growling and barking at us. Karen was like "I think that's God telling us to turn around."lol. We did, he followed us a little ways but then stopped. I know this sounds crazy...but Erik attached a small pocket knife to my stop watch so I could have it for protection. Not that I would ever hurt a doggy...but this dog was SCARY. So I felt a little protected.
Other than that..I'm really glad the weekend is coming up. And I'm sooooo happy that we're having cooler weather. I hope it never get's back up to the 100's. Ok, well gotta do laundry. TGIF everybody!

Back in the saddle again.
Ok, so I started walking again yesterday. I've actually prolonged it for a long as I possibly could. I just hate exercising..who's with me? So anyways, Karen and I agreed that we would be each other's walking buddy. We decided that the evening would be best considering we would be cooking in the texas heat if we went earlier in the day. We started walking at 8:00pm...and it was completly dark and I thought I was absolutely going to hate it. But actually...it wasn't too bad. I think I prefer walking at night now...you have privacy..you can be silly without worrying if someone is seeing you thrue their window..and there was actually a little breeze. All in all, I enjoyed it last night.
It just sucks to be me right now. I really thought I was going to lose this baby weight..but actually I've gained. I can only wear like two pairs of jeans now..and then the rest are stretch pants. I told Karen that my goal right now is to lose 30lbs. That way, I'm sure I'll be able to fit into the 20 pairs of jeans I have hanging in my closet. I refuse to buy bigger clothes...it's just not going to happen.
I'm sure you're tired of hearing my rantin' about all of this. But get used to it. I figured I would kind of keep a self journal on here to record my triumphs and defeats...not sure yet. All in all everything is going ok, you've probably heard that Erik got let go from his job...it was actually a temp job..so we kinda knew that it was going to happen. So if anyone out there knows of anything opening up...let us know.
Oh! And I'm almost done with a purse that I've been making. I'm pretty proud of myself because I've had to do some things with it that I've never done before. Now I'm just stuck on the damn straps..uggghhh. I'll post a pick when I'm done with it.
Hope everyone is having a good week!

Kenzie Lynn Marie Goode
Isn't that the cutest name ever!? Ok, so it's official...we now have a new addition to our family. And she's just the sweetest little thing. Karen had her baby Monday evening at 6:39 p.m. and everything couldn't have gone better. Except for the fact that Karen's epidural went away during her hardest labor pains and I swear I saw the devil..lol. But all is good. It was sooo cool because I got to be in the labor room to see everything...it was me..my mom, Melanie, and of course Karen and the hospital staff. They actually had me hold one of her legs during the process...but that meant that I saw everything..and I mean..EVERYTHING..lol. But it was just a great moment..I'll never forget it.
So I'm glad that she's home...(came home yesterday)...and that everything is quieting down. I'll have some pics up soon...I just hate my dial-up because it takes forever and a day to download a pic. But I'll do one or two at least..promise.
I hope everyone is doing well!
Love ya!

IT'S BABY TIME!
That's right everybody! Karen is going to have her baby! She is scheduled to be induced on Monday!!! I am soooooooooo freakin' excited! So she went to the doctor on Thursday where he informed her that she was at 4 centimeters and 70% effaced. He told her that she will need to come into the hospital at 5:30 am to start the whole process. It was funny because Karen has been progressing so fast that he said there would be a good chance that she could have the baby this weekend. Nothin' has happened yet though...believe me..we've all been on pins and needles.
Ok, so if anyone would like to visit her she's going to be at the LakePoint hospital which is like five minutes away from us.
Info: Lake Point Hospital-6800 Scenic Dr.-972-412-2273
We hope to see you guys there!

I love my friends...
I just wanted to say how much I love my friends. Sometimes it takes something to make you realize how much you appreciate them. One of my very best friends needed some support this week, and it really opened my eyes to see how much we really are there for one another. I love you guys!!!

Did I tell y'all?
I have the absolute greatest boyfriend! Guess what! Ok, I have to collect myself because I am soooooo excited. Ok, everyone has been updated to the fact that Erik has to work on Labor Day weekend which has completely screwed up our trip to see Dave right? Everyone knows this right? Ok. Well guess what he did? He called Melanie and was able to talk her into going with me. Isn't that the sweetest thing ever? Knowing how much he has been anxiously waiting for this trip, he has unselfishly given up his ticket to make me happy. *Sighhhh*. I still can't believe it. I...Stacy Goode...am going to see my favorite band in the whole world...like next weekend...woooohoooooo!
Ok, in other news. I have seriously been thinking about getting a full-time job. Maybe this consideration is temporary..but it seriously has not left me yet. I've just been looking at how big Gavin is getting...and something inside me tells me that he might be ready to spend time with other babies. Oh my gosh, right now that feels like the hardest thing to think of. But in a way..it kind of seems like the right thing. And the extra money from my job would help tremendously. Except for I really don't know how much it costs to put a baby of Gavin's age into preschool full-time. These are things I have to look into too. That's all that has been going on with me lately. I'll keep ya updated on the job status.
I hope everyone is doing good!
Oh also, Melanie and Jon got a new doggie today. They saved her from the pound, and she is the sweetest dog I have ever met. They named her Lucy...and she is sooo cute...and she LOVES Gavin. I will have pics of her up when I take some...lol.
K, Bye!

So why doesn't anything work out for me anymore?
I'm pissed. And Erik's pissed too. We're both pissed off people.
Ugghhhhhhh. Ok, so everyone who knows me knowwwws that Erik and I are going to the Dave Matthews Band concert on Labor Day weekend. Well guess what, Erik's new job will not let him off on Labor Day! What the hell is up with that? Doesn't labor mean work? Isn't it a day for all the laborers out there? And he was told before he started that he gets all major holidays off INCLUDING Labor Day. So what are we supposed to do now? Erik told me that he would look for a new job...(isn't he sweet?)..but I don't want him to have to do that. I mean this job is working out pretty good for him right now. I just wish that the Dave Matthew's gods would come down and hand us tickets for the Dallas show. Why in the hell did he wait so long to say that he was coming to Dallas? And since he hasn't been here in the past two years...we really didn't expect this.
pissed...pissed..pissed.

Slumber Parties Rock!
Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a good weekend! I know I did. I had the absolute best time Saturday night. Dina hosted an awesome slumber party for a handful of girls and it was just what the doctor ordered. Why didn't we do this sooner? It's like Dina said, "No boys, no kids, no drama." Dina I think we could be slumber party planners and make boocoos of money! So we started the night off right with margaritas...woooohooo...needless to say their are plenty of pics to blackmale any one of us. We flipped through our old yearbooks, and Dina's photo albums..which was pretty fun. Then drank more margaritas...proceeded to do kareoke with a remote control as a microphone (don't ask), and then ended it with a tantalizing yet hilarious game of 21 questions. Ok, I'm about to hit it..but I just wanted to let you girls know (and you know who you are), that I feel so much closer to you guys..and you truly are my best friends. Love you!

Bored
I am sooo bored. BORED BORED BORED. The house is clean, laundry is done, Gavin has had his bath and is now napping, there is nothing good on T.V., and I have read everyone's blog.(manda that was sooo not funny by the way.) Any suggestions on what I can do? I was thinking about knitting some more. I feel like I'm never going to finish my niece's blanket. I'm already wanting to start a new project, in which I'm so pissed because I cannot find my Stitch and Bitch book where there was a totally cute purse pattern that I wanted to do. See, even what I'm talking about is boring..lol. I'm already ready to start shopping for Christmas, crazy huh? I guess because the rainy weather is reminding me of winter. And plus I'm absolutely in love with IKEA and have told my family members that I will be doing my one-stop shopping there. If you haven't been there..GO! It's so awesome, I told Melanie that it was a women's wet dream..he he. Ok, well..maybe I'll go look online for a Halloween costume to make for Gavin. I hope everyone is having a good day, and I hope Jenny had a good birthday.
Laters!

Happy Birthday Erik!
As some of you may know today is Erik's 26th birthday. It didn't start off too well considering I dropped him off at the train station too late and he missed his train which made him late to work this morning. Also, he has absolutely no money for lunch (and I wish I knew this because I would have made him lunch.) And above all else, he has a terrible toothache. So needless to say, I have to find a way to make him have a great day today. So first I will sing him a song. Ohhhhhhh, Happy birthday to you...happy birthday to you..happy birthday dear Erik..happy birthday to you! Second, I will stand on my head and juggle bowling pins (do da..do da..juggling.) And third, I'll tell him that I think he is wonderful..and the best father ever. I love you honey!! Happy Birthday!!

So this morning I woke up too the sound of a baby..
FALLING OUT OF HIS CRIB!! Can you believe that? That's right...at about 9:05 this morning I woke up to the sound of a loud thud which brought frantic screaming and mommy jumping out of her bed and rushing to the crib to see NO BABY!! It was only like two seconds that I realized that Gavin had fallen out of his crib, did a complete flip and landed on his back on the floor. Talk about panic mode...it took a good ten minutes to calm him down. Poor baby. Well, needless to say Gavin's mattress is officially on the lowest level now thanks to his daddy who worked so hard on the crib this evening. So it doesn't really seem that there is any lasting affects of this terrible tragedy. Gavin has been very energetic yet awnry today..so everything is normal. So, other than that..everyone wish me luck on Karen's shower this Sunday. She doesn't know the theme or anything..so I hope she likes it. Ok, well I hope everyone is having a good week!!

Hey everyone!
Ok, so I'm not all with it when it comes to blogging here lately. Sorrrrry. I hope everyone is doing good. Nothing new around here, I'm just waiting for these two baby showers to be over and done with already. So Erik, Karen, and I went to go see Katy yesterday. And she's doing really well, and she looks great. Please keep your fingers crossed that she gets to go home this weekend. Other than that, I'm anxious to see The Machinist. Since Teresa is my buddy on Netflix I noticed that she had rented it. So I hope it is good, Melanie said something about how he weighed like 80lbs. during the whole movie. That is so crazy. Manda, you would be so proud of how far I have gotten on Karen's baby girl's blanket. It's so pretty. It's pink and white stripes but it's ruffled, too cute I tell ya. I have to finish it by next Sunday, but I will definitely take a picture so I can show you. Anyhoosers, I'm going to go exercise because Melanie and I are in a contest and I'm going to kick her butt.
Hope everyone has a groovy day!

So I found this headband in my closet from last year...
Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile you guys. A lot of things have been going on and I haven't really been on the internet. I hope everyone is doing good. Not much to say really, except for this summer is hot as heck. Who agrees? I went out yesterday with my sister Karen and Gavin. We went to a couple of party places to look for baby shower supplies. And I'm telling you...the heat was killing us! I mean, you honestly have to think twice if you even want to take your kid to the park. Anyways, that's about all that is going on with me. Hope everyone is having a good week!
